The Worker

THE WORKER

Charlie Drake became famous back in the 1960's and 1970's for the TV comedy shows he appeared in.

One of the most famous was when he played the part of an out of work labourer and his on-going fights at the Job Centre.

Funny thing but back then when you went into a Job Centre the people there found you a job unlike today.  Even though Job Centres are far bigger with state of the art computers and nice furniture their job today is not to find you a job -

- you have to do that yourself.

  1. Offer your services to the job cantre as a job hunter agent for people signing on who want to actually work. A job agency via the job centre ...!?! Is there such a set up like this ? (Business idea) .

  2. They have career advisors who try to point you in the right direct. But sadly they don't go out finding a job for you.
